Hunter Life Education encourages the business community to get involved in the health and wellbeing of their workplace and community.
On 23rd June, Hunter Life Education hosted the Mind Your Health Mind Your Business breakfast event as an initiative of Drug Action Week 2010 - to raise awareness of the role employers and business plays in the health of their staff and community.
Over 100 business leaders including foundation supporters Forsythes Recruitment, Sparke Helmore, The Forum, Thurnham Teece, The Herald and Redback Solutions attended the breakfast event and heard from a panel of local experts and Michelle Bridges, author and trainer of the contestants in ‘The Biggest Loser’ reality TV show.
Businesses walked away with positive messages and actions to take back to their workplace.
As a contribution to the health of our local community, attendees were encouraged to support local schools by Adopting-a-Class to ensure all the children of the Hunter can attend the Hunter Life Education program.
