By Sunday the miserable weather had cleared with Mother Nature putting on a pearler of a day for the annual Hunter Life Education fund raiser The World’s Biggest Car Boot Sale.

When most of us would rather be sleeping in on a Sunday, The bargain hunters were up early hoping to turn someone else’s trash into their own treasure. With over 500 stalls set up around the car park at Ausgrid Stadium, the day provides a great opportunity to find that something special, unusual, and unique or perhaps the perfect Christmas present.

The World’s Biggest Car Boot Sale is into its 5th year and each year has grown bigger and better and has become a great family fun day with plenty to see and do for all ages. This year they even had camels, although I don’t think they were for sale, but they certainly kept the kids entertained.

This weekend once again showcased what a great facility we have here in Newcastle. Ausgrid Stadium is not just a place for footy anymore. Events like the Salvation Army Food Drive and the World’s Biggest Car Boot Sale are just the start of thing. Watch this space for even more great events coming to your venue, Ausgrid Stadium.
