Healthy Harold visit to Market Place Raymond Terrace 2011
"We thank you so much for yesterday, the day was a great success for the centre and you guys did a great job.
The feedback we had was very positive not only from the kids but parents also. It showed on the day that Healthy Harrold means a lot to the kids and I think to see him out of school grounds meant a lot to the kids.
Thank you and we look forward to working with you all again."

"Healthy Harold Visit!
On 28th of February C.N.P.S went to the Healthy Harold centre. Lisa the teacher showed us the effects of drinking and smoking. First we placed the organs onto a Velcro body and named them all. Then we played the alphabet game where 2 people were out the front one called out letters, the other one through the ball to whoever could name a body part, system or organ that starts with that letter.
Secondly we looked at what was in cigarettes. It included looking at smoking ads and discussion.
Next we looked at the digestive system and nerves. This involved playing a game where there were two lines and at each end there was a brain and at the other end were the muscles. What we had to do was similar to Chinese whispers. The brain got a message and passed it along the nerves (lines) to the muscle that had to carry out these commands. It was a lot and I mean a lot of fun.
Thirdly we looked at the different types of alcohol and the choices we make with them.
And finally Healthy Harold came out and we asked him some questions and even got a hug from him."

"Hunter Life Education
The Healthy Harold van visited the school this year in December and focused on healthy eating choices and safety with medicines and drugs around the home and in the community. This linked in with the drug education unit studied in class. Students gained extra knowledge and enjoyed the experience."

Over the past two weeks all of our classes have been lucky enough to visit Happy Healthy Harold at The Hunter Life Education Centre, Edgeworth. Harold taught all our students many things about the body and healthy living to go with our Term 4 Big Idea 'Healthy Choices.'"
